Our EHS core objective is to prevent accidents, injuries & work related ill-health at the workplace as well as assure the protection of the environment as it relates to our activities.
The management of GEHS is committed to the protection and continual improvement of the health and safety of our employees, customers, visitors and other people who may be affected by our business. This will be done in compliance with applicable health and safety legal requirements, and in conformity with best practices in the field.
To achieve our objective, We will:
- Promote safe and healthy behavior as a core value in the company’s HSE culture.
- Provide safe and healthy working environment including the safe use, handling, storage and transport of goods and services as well as safe means of entry and exit.
- Provide safe equipment and systems of work putting into consideration hazards specific to our workplace.
- Develop and implement an effective management system to identify, minimize and manage health and safety risks in the workplace.
- Provide the resources to achieve a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees.
- Ensure employee participation by providing necessary information, instruction, training and supervision to protect safety and health at work.
The Head of GEHS is ultimately responsible for employee health and safety in the company. It is however, the duty of every employee and of any customer or visitor at company facility to comply with health and safety instructions and take reasonable care for their health & safety and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. In GEHS, Health & Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
The EHS Policy shall be reviewed annually & updated with changing organizational activities and latest legislation.
