GEHS is headed by Dr. Lola Okwuosa. Dr. Okwuosa is a medical practitioner, with Masters in Public Health from Harvard University, USA. She has over twenty (20) years experience in the Environmental Health field including Strategic Planning, Programme Development and Management.

By virtue of her long service at the National level, she has extensive expertise in the technical and regulatory aspects of Environmental and Occupational Health issues.
