General Construction Health, Safety & Environment (GCHSE) Course

 

In view of the need to assure a safe and healthy workplace, improve productivity and enhance organisations health and safety culture, we are pleased to invite you to attend the next edition of the General Construction Health, Safety & Environment (GCHSE) Course slated to hold on the 26th - 28th April, 2016.

 

The course is designed to equip workers in the industry with the basic knowledge and skills required to identify common hazards on construction sites and take appropriate actions to prevent injuries, illnesses, accidents and consequent business losses.

 

The course covers a wide range of topics on GCHSE. The course covers a wide range of construction related topics on Health, Safety and Environment that reflect best practices in the industry. In addition to the teaching sessions, the course entails practical demonstrations including site visits and video shows. Topics to be covered include but not limited to:

 

• Introduction to General Construction HSE.

• Occupational Health and Safety Policies/Regulations in the Construction Industry.

• Overview of common Health and Safety Hazards in the Construction Industry.

• Incident: Causation, Investigation & Reporting.

• Fall Prevention & Protection.

• Working at Height – Fall Prevention/Protection and Scaffolding Safety.

• Working at Height – Ladder and Stairway Safety.

• Ergonomics and Manual Handling in Construction.

• Fire Prevention & Protection.

• Construction First Aid.

• Environmental Awareness and Construction Housekeeping.

• Personal Protective Equipment & Life Saving Equipment.

• Construction Safety Inspection.

• HSE Management System.

   

 

The course is targeted at Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, Builders, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, Foremen, HSE Designates, Safety Officers, 1st Aiders, Construction workers & individuals that desire an appreciation of CHSE issues.

 

The training is scheduled to hold at GEHS Learning Arena, 3rd Floor Kojo Motors Building, Plot 1209, Kado Road, By VIO, Mabushi, Abuja.

 

Training fee is Sixty Five Thousand Naira (N65,000.00) per participant and will include training materials, refreshments, lunch and certificate. 

 

We are also pleased to inform you that the training program can be conducted in-house for organisations for a minimum number of 10 participants.
