Environmental Management Course (EMC)

In view of the necessity to continue to strengthen existing capacity and enhance competence in environmental management and sustainability in organizations, we are pleased to invite you to attend the next edition of the Environmental Management Course (EMC) slated to hold on the 23rd – 27th May, 2016.

 

The course is designed to equip participants with fundamental knowledge of environmental management principles and its application with a view to enhance competence in environmental sustainability and regulatory practice.

 

The course covers a range of topics that addresses key elements of environmental management. In addition to the teaching sessions, the course will also involve individual and syndicate group exercises, video shows and practical demonstrations. Topics to be covered include but not limited to:

 

• Natural Ecological Processes, Systems & Services;

• Organizations and influence on the Environment;

• Pollution Related Environmental Problems & and their Management;

• Resource Depletion Related Environmental Problems and their Management;

• Solid Waste Management;

• National Environmental Legislations – National Policy on Environment and other regulations;

• International Environmental Protocols, Agreements, Conventions & Treaties;

• Introduction to Environmental Management System (EMS);

• ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System;

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA);

• Environmental Compliance Monitoring & Enforcement; and

• Environmental Audit;

 

The course is strongly recommended for all whom environmental management and regulation is an integral part of a wide range of responsibilities in their organization as well as those who are new to environmental management and desire an appreciation of environmental issues.

 

The training is scheduled to hold at GEHS Learning Arena, 3rd Floor Kojo Motors Building, Plot 1209, Kado Road, By VIO, Mabushi, Abuja.

 

Training fee is Seventy Five Thousand Naira (N75,000.00) per participant and will include training materials, refreshments, lunch and certificate.
