Project Title: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for Proposed Gurara Phase II Multipurpose Dam Project in Niger State.

Project Description: The project entailed preparation of an EIA for proposed Gurara Phase II Multipurpose Dam Project in Niger State, Nigeria. The project consists of a dam impounding a reservoir of 583 million cubic metres, a 360 MW Hydropower Plant (HPP), with an annual power generation of 1.18 billion kWh, and irrigation scheme comprising 2,800 hectares at the first instance, reconstruction/rehabilitation of access roads of about 80.5km and other ancillary facilities.
