Project Title: Consultancy on Onchocerciasis (River Blindness) Control in Nigeria

 

Description: The consultancy entailed provision of technical support to the Federal Ministry of Health and nine (9) UNICEF assisted states in Nigeria in the implementation of Onchocerciasis control programme. Project activities entailed mass treatment with Mectizan, training of health workers and Community Directed Distributors (CDD), Mobilization of CBOs and NGOs, holding of stakeholders meetings and advocacy, as well as monitoring and supervision.

 

Location: Abuja, Bauchi, Gombe, Benue, Cross River, Niger, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Ekiti states, Nigeria.
